About the Event

In this live, interactive, relaxed and easy-to follow lesson I will take you through the steps involved. I’ll teach you new skills and together, we will produce a design ready to be cut and made into your own, super-stylish cards. We will use pencil and watercolours, but you can add all the glitter and sparkle you’d like as we go.

We will look at brush technique, applying a wash and placement of pattern as well as ways to achieve softness in watercolour and applying text. Beginners welcome!

The lesson lasts approx. 1 1/4 hours.

Materials needed;

Watercolour or thick white paper.

Red gouache or similar.

Pen (in the demo I use a fountain pen).

Brushes - Wash brush, sword-liner brush and/or rigger brush (a thin brush will do if you don’t have these!).

A drawing board or working surface.

Masking tape.

Optional extras (possibly for later, when you come to assemble your cards);

Red sequins.

Silver fine glitter.

Blank cards and envelopes.

Sticky pads to mount design.

Glue, to stick the sequins.
